From Sydney
Follow the New England Highway into Tamworth. Road name changes to Goonoo Goonoo Road. Travel into Tamworth and you will find us in the heart of the motel strip, on your left just after the intersection of Margaret Street.
From Brisbane
Follow the New England Highway into Tamworth from the north and follow the signs to Sydney. After passing Hungry Jacks and the Tourist Information Centre, cross the river and travel to a roundabout. Turn right and the Country Capital Motel is two blocks down on the left.
From Gunnedah
Follow the Oxley Highway into Tamworth and follow the signs to Sydney. We are approximately 2km from the intersection of Oxley Highway and Ebsworth St (which turns into Goonoo Goonoo Road).
Country Capital Motel is located on Goonoo Goonoo Road in Tamworth. The motel is well situated to access both the centre of Tamworth and the Tamworth Sporting Precinct easily.
Our property is securely fenced all round and offers only one point of entry/exit to pedestrians and vehicles. Many of our guests prefer to stay with us for that very reason, and the fact that there is one designated park per room (mostly out of sight from the street) with additional off-street parking for trailers and medium trucks. Undercover parking is available for motorcycles.
